Typhoons have hit the Philippines lately. It's where I grew up. It made me reminisce about the times after a storm hit and my sister and I would create paper boats and play in the ankle-deep flood outside our home. This time, though, the rain hit hard and the flood took away homes and lives. It's a tragedy. I am blessed to see, though, how Filipinos all over the world and other nations have responded in relief efforts. Thank you for helping my home land. My prayers go out to those who have been devastated by the recent typhoons.
